Thoughts

I was lucky to have known Jan for over 35 years and have many lovely memories of my first boss and very dear friend. I came across this poem and I thought of Jan...... I thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence. I often speak your name. All I have are memories, and your picture in a frame. Your memory is my keepsake, with which I'll never part. God has you in His keeping.....I have you in my heart. She would make up little poems in the cards that she sent and I will treasure these forever as they were always full of fun and made us smile, just like Jan! Rest peacefully x

Before Jan retired she was a regular traveller on the minibus that I was driving for 3M. Jan always made the journey a joy, even though just a short trip, the conversations we had were always intelligent, funny and sometimes quite deep and a had that wonderful laugh, when people heard that laugh they knew Jan wasn't far away. A lovely, warm friendly lady whom will be missed greatly, but the fantastic character that she was will remain in our hearts and minds always. My thoughts and sympathy's go to Ken, who himself is a smashing guy and with Jan made a brilliant couple.

Loved Jan from the day i met her ... unique ... deeply spiritual ... creative ... talented ... highly intelligent ... bloody great fun ... remember our' Red Lion 'days with a smile ... especially the well remembered session when we went for lunch & didn't go back to work !!! ... got to meet the fantastic Kenn Emmett too ... another fantastic person whom I feel much affection for ... I want to add The B52s 'Love Shack' to the playlist but cant work out how to do it ... if someone can do it that would be great as it always reminds me of Jan xxx
